Privacy Policy — Thaqalayn App

Thank you for using Thaqalayn (Holy Quran, supplications and ziyarat, Hijri calendar and occasions). This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data we collect

• No account or personal information is required. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number.
• Anonymous identifier: when the app starts, a random anonymous ID is created via Firebase Anonymous Authentication to sync your settings. It cannot identify you personally.
• Your in-app data: bookmarks, last-read position, notification preferences, and favorites are stored on your device and may be synced to Firebase (Firestore) linked only to the anonymous ID.

2. Advertising

The app shows ads via Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads under their own policies. See the Google Privacy Policy and ads personalization controls. You can reset your advertising ID or limit tracking in your device settings.

3. Notifications

Religious-occasion reminders are scheduled locally on your device and can be disabled at any time from the app or system settings.

4. How data is used

Data is used solely to operate app features (sync, notifications, reading resume) and to display ads. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties other than the service providers mentioned above (Google Firebase and AdMob), to the extent needed to run the service.

5. Storage and deletion

• Uninstalling the app deletes all local data.
• To request deletion of synced data linked to your anonymous ID, contact us at the email below.

6. Children

The app's content is general religious content suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
